Julianna Margulies: from ER to Holocaust education.

Julianna is an actress, producer and activist. She is widely recognized for her portrayals of nurse Carol Hathaway on the hit TV show ER, and Alicia Florrick on The Good Wife. She has won multiple awards, including 8 Screen Actors Guild awards, 3 Emmys and 1 Golden Globe. She has also starred in scores of other films and TV shows including The Sopranos, Scrubs, and more recently The Hot Zone or The Morning Show.

A little less known, is Julianna’s involvement with Holocaust Education: in 2022, after hosting the Holocaust Remembrance Day for CBS, she realized that only 19 out of 50 states teach about the Holocaust. She then partnered with the MJH in NYC and created an educational program called HESP (for “Holocaust Education School Partnership”), which we will talk about in a minute.

She is also very involved in many other projects and organizations, including Erin's Law, Project ALS, and Physicians for Human Rights.

Julianna is also an author, and has written a fantastic autobiography called “Sunshine Girl”, which I highly recommend.

You can find her on Instagram, @juliannamargulies.
